Rainbow Songs

Rainbow Songs is a book of children’s sheet music in English with 20 traditional folk songs specially adapted for children. The book offers two versions of each song: one in colour-coded sheet music, designed to make reading music easier for children, and another in standard notation, so they can gradually move on to conventional reading.

The book also includes free audio tracks that support individual practice as well as classroom or therapy work. This audio support helps children understand rhythm, melody and intonation, which are fundamental to learning music.

This children’s sheet music in English is an excellent resource for building basic English vocabulary in a natural, playful way. The songs are among the best-known children’s songs around the world, which boosts motivation, aural memory and children’s active participation.

Rainbow Songs is especially useful for music therapists, speech and language therapists and professionals working with aphasia, as it brings music, language and memory together in one activity. The colour system gives children with learning difficulties or special educational needs access to reading music.

This book is sold by some of the leading music education retailers in the United States, such as JW Pepper and West Music, a testament to its teaching quality and its use in professional educational settings.

The songs chosen work in school, therapy and family settings alike. Rainbow Songs is part of the catalogue of CapaPublisher, a publisher specialising in educational music materials that promote learning, inclusion and the enjoyment of music from childhood.
