Children’s sheet music in Portuguese

This children’s sheet music in Portuguese from the Rainbow Songs collection is a teaching resource designed to introduce children to music in a visual, inclusive and progressive way, with Catalan as the base language of the publishing project.

This book brings together 20 children’s folk songs in European Portuguese, selected specifically for the European educational context and clearly distinct from Brazilian Portuguese. It is designed for schools, families and music education professionals looking for adapted, high-quality resources.

Each song includes the main melody in standard music notation, accompanied by chords for the ukulele – an instrument widely used in children’s music education because it is easy to play and has a friendly sound. All the pieces also include the score adapted to the Rainbow Songs colour code, a visual system that makes reading music easier for children.

This colour code helps children link notes, sounds and colours, supporting musical understanding with no prior knowledge needed. That is why the book is especially suitable for early years music education, nurseries, music schools, inclusive education settings and music therapy projects.

This children’s sheet music in Portuguese is also a good resource for language work, as it helps introduce Portuguese vocabulary through traditional songs, reinforcing memory, pronunciation and meaningful learning.

This publication is part of a constantly growing educational collection committed to accessible, visual and culturally adapted music materials, with a clear, consistent method across all languages.

In short, this children’s sheet music in Portuguese is a musical and educational tool for learning music, language and culture in a playful, structured way.
