Cancionero de Villancicos para Voz, Guitarra y Piano (Nivel Fácil)

The Cancionero de Villancicos para Voz, Guitarra y Piano is a collection of 30 villancicos (Spanish Christmas carols) that are part of the Spanish musical tradition and regularly feature in the curriculum for music education. It’s a complete and very valuable teaching resource for preparing Christmas music activities in schools, music schools or at home.

This songbook is designed for singing the carols with piano or guitar accompaniment, combining playing with singing. Each carol includes the full lyrics, so you can work on language skills while developing music education, for cross-curricular, meaningful learning.

The book gives the main melody with the lyrics split into syllables under each note, making it easier to coordinate voice and instrument. Each carol also includes the piano accompaniment and the guitar chords, so it can be sung and played on piano, on guitar or on both together.

Most of the villancicos are very easy to play, so children and beginners get results quickly. This sense of achievement boosts motivation, confidence and the desire to keep learning the instrument, especially in group settings such as music lessons or school rehearsals.

This songbook is an essential music teaching resource for any school that wants to work on the Christmas repertoire in an accessible, inclusive and rewarding way. It’s designed so that learners can quickly play and sing a carol, enjoying the satisfaction of making music together and celebrating Christmas through musical tradition.
