Montseny, like no other mountain in Catalonia, is rich in legends and ancestral fables. Beliefs and superstitions have always been one of the most significant reminders of previous ancestral times up to the Middle Ages. Ancestral beliefs that were very similar to soul beliefs that are still found today in places like Africa or Central America. Time when man was afraid of the unknown and felt surrounded by mystery. Isolation, solitude, the noise of nocturnal animals, the silence broken by the sound of the waters and the wind were the perfect cultivation ingredients to make Montseny the cradle of countless legends.
