It is an <strong>illustrated children\u2019s story<\/strong> that approaches autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with a sensitive, respectful and deeply human outlook.<\/p>\n<p>The story begins on the <strong>first day of term in the three-year-olds\u2019 class<\/strong>. The children arrive at school and discover the playground, the classrooms, the teachers and their new classmates. Among them is <strong>ReMi<\/strong>, a boy with autism spectrum disorder. As the year goes on, the teacher and the other children notice that his behaviour is different from everyone else\u2019s, but they also discover that <strong>music<\/strong> can become an essential ally in building a shared, inclusive learning experience.<\/p>\n<p>Through the story, the book shows how music can act as a <strong>bridge for communication<\/strong>, emotional expression and social connection.
