We do not see or store your card details: they are handled directly by the payment provider.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Purpose:<\/strong> to prepare and send your order, take payment, issue the invoice, keep you informed about the delivery status and deal with returns and any problems. If you open an account, so that you can see your orders and buy more quickly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Legal basis:<\/strong> the purchase contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Retention:<\/strong> for as long as your account remains open and, after that, for the period required by tax and commercial law (up to six years).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>When you request a bulk quote<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Data:<\/strong> your order details and those of the school or company.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Purpose:<\/strong> to prepare your quote and, if you accept it, to fulfil the order.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Legal basis:<\/strong> steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Retention:<\/strong> one year if you do not accept it; if you do, the same as for an order.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>When you write to us<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Data:<\/strong> whatever you include in the form or email (name, email address, school, phone number and your message).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Purpose:<\/strong> to reply to you. If you write to one of our authors through the contact form, we pass on your message, your name and your email address so that they can reply to you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Legal basis:<\/strong> your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Retention:<\/strong> as long as necessary to reply to you and up to one year afterwards, unless it becomes an order.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>When you leave a review of a book<\/h3>\n<p>We publish the name you enter and your text. Your email address is not published. Legal basis: your consent. You can ask us to delete it at any time.<\/p>\n<h3>When you use the search tool<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Data:<\/strong> the question you type and the answer. You do not need to identify yourself. We do not store your IP address, only an encrypted fingerprint that changes every day and helps us prevent abuse. If you type an email address, a phone number or an ID number, it is hidden before it is stored. Please do not type any personal data.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Purpose:<\/strong> to answer you with the books and pages on the website that match your question, to prevent abuse and to improve the search tool.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Legal basis:<\/strong> our legitimate interest in offering a useful and secure search tool (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Retention:<\/strong> 90 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The conversation is only stored in your browser while the tab is open. The search tool does not use cookies.<\/p>\n<h3>When you browse the website<\/h3>\n<p>We use necessary cookies so that the website and the basket work and, only if you accept them, others to analyse visits or to load audio and video from external platforms. We explain this in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capapublisher.com\/en\/cookie-policy\/\">cookie policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Who we share your data with<\/h2>\n<p>We do not sell your data, and the only party we pass it on to is the author you write to through the contact form, where applicable. Otherwise, it is received only by the following companies, when necessary to serve you, and they process it in accordance with our instructions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The printer that prints and ships the books, and the courier companies that deliver them to your door.<\/li>\n<li>Payment providers (bank, PayPal), to take payment for your order.<\/li>\n<li>The company that hosts the website, the agency that maintains it and the email delivery service.<\/li>\n<li>The AI search service: the agency that maintains the website (Milimetric) and the AI model provider (Anthropic, in the United States).<\/li>\n<li>Our accountants, for bookkeeping and tax purposes.<\/li>\n<li>Public authorities, when required by law.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some of these companies may be located outside the European Economic Area (for example, in the United States). In that case, the transfer is carried out with the safeguards provided for in the GDPR: an adequacy decision by the European Commission (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or standard contractual clauses.<\/p>\n<h2>Your rights<\/h2>\n<p>At any time, you can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>find out what data we hold about you (access);<\/li>\n<li>ask us to correct it (rectification) or delete it (erasure);<\/li>\n<li>ask us not to use it for a particular purpose (objection) or to limit how we use it (restriction);<\/li>\n<li>receive it in a format you can take to another company (portability);<\/li>\n<li>withdraw any consent you have given us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Write to us at <a href=\"mailto:c&#97;pa&#64;&#99;ap&#97;p&#117;&#98;&#108;&#105;she&#114;.co&#109;\">c&#97;pa&#64;&#99;ap&#97;p&#117;&#98;&#108;&#105;she&#114;.co&#109;<\/a> and tell us which right you wish to exercise.
